Screen enclosures are meant to create a backyard oasis where you can swim and spa, relax around an outdoor fireplace, enjoy a meal under the stars, grill at the outdoor kitchen, host a party outside and more. However, it’s hard to create a true oasis if your screen enclosure doesn’t live up to its full potential. Not all screens are created equal.
Hendry Aluminum offers an array of screen options to ensure that every screen enclosure we install creates the perfect backyard oasis. Find out the truth about standard screens, and explore the different screen options Hendry Aluminum offers, below.
Standard Screen Drawbacks
Standard screens have a density of 18/14; this means that every square inch is 18 squares wide by 14 squares tall. This density is not fine enough to keep out a number of Florida’s most annoying bugs.
Some screens are also made of inferior products, meaning they aren’t strong enough to withstand much of anything. Within a few years, inferior screens will rip and become filled with holes, and the entire screen will need to be replaced.
Hendry Aluminum Screens
Hendry Aluminum offers a wide array of screens to fit any homeowner’s needs. Then, the screen enclosures we install are sure to create the perfect oasis for any family. We offer:
- 20/20 Screen: This super-strong screen offers a smaller mesh than standard screen; there are nearly twice as many mesh squares per square inch, meaning they are much smaller openings. This screen is perfect for screen enclosures near beaches or anywhere that bothersome no-see-ums, sand fleas, gnats or other tiny pests are present. The one place they]se pests won’t be is in the screen enclosure!
- Pet Screen: Pets are part of the family, but they can also wreak havoc on a screen enclosure made of inferior materials. Hendry Aluminum’s pet screen is seven times stronger than standard screen, meaning Fido or Mr. Whiskers won’t be able to damage it so easily.
- Solar Screen: As The Sunshine State, Florida is known for its powerful sun and high temperatures. As much as we love the sun, Florida citizens also need to protect themselves from the damaging UV rays of the sun. UV rays cause skin damage that eventually lead to skin cancer. Limiting exposure to the sun’s UV rays is the best way to protect yourself. Our solar screens lock out heat and block UV rays by 65% to 90%. They also come in a variety of colors.
Hendry Aluminum strives to install screen enclosures that meet our client’s high expectations. Let us help you make your screen enclosure into a backyard oasis.
